About Me

I desire to cultivate my skills around plants, people, and art while also improving my fluidity in the business world even more. I hope to continue my career expanding my videography, graphic design, and writing skills. My goal is providing space for the unique narratives of so many meaningful people and events around the world. A very important aspect of life for me is the community around us.

I love spending time with the community I’ve built in Austin. Having a picnic in pease park, going for a roller skate down lake austin blvd or planning a weekend trip to star gaze away from the city light.

The planet is one consistent gratitude in my life. I show my appreciation and connect by picking up trash on my walks, listening to the birds at dawn and dusk, or making time to identify a new native species of plants and insects.

During a Texas rain storm, you'll likely find me outside enjoying the wonder.

Work Experience

Education

I received a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with minors in Horticulture and Agricultural Communications from Texas A&M University. During my academic time, I was provided with a background in media reporting, interview sources, writing deadline driven stories, along with many other forms of writing; long forms, political blogging, non-fiction, next day news reporting, and magazine style writing. My classes allowed for me to hone in on my technical writing and professional skills through courses like Communications Technology Skills, Editing for Mass Media, Feature Writing, and Journalism as a Profession.

In my freetime, I wrote stories about people’s lives around me, edited personal publications and helped format my peers' work.

Gaming Industry at Activision Blizzard

Over the past three years, I've worked as a QA Game Tester on Call of Duty at Activision. Working as a tester has further emphasized my passion for the video game industry while allowing me to experience gaming from "behind the curtains."
